Yoga IntensiveStudentship. 200-hours of in-depth study of the yoga traditions with 200-hours of gathering time. Lead teacher and creator, Melissa Martinez-Chauvin has been teaching yoga since 2007 and leading training programs since 2013. Check out the vibrant yoga community at Temple Yoga, her studio offering in the heart of Reno.
Posture ClinicsThrough the physical. You'll go deeper into the key poses of yoga and the principles of alignment while learning about sequencing. You can create a solid foundation for the practice of yoga through these practice sessions. Gathering in community and receiving one-on-one support is at the helm of what this course is about.

Teaching BasicsHold space. Not everyone comes to yoga training to be a yoga teacher. Most people decide to change their perspective and get deeper into their practice making a personal commitment to themselves. We show up to better ourselves and to take charge of our desire to learn more about our body mind connections.
Life ToolsSangha. We begin with being kind to ourselves first and this includes showing up. Showing up on the mat on a consistent basis will give you the tools. Making a commitment to study yourself and you'll learn yoga. Root into the tenants of the practice and you'll have valuable tools to use and share for the rest of your life.

What will a typical day look like in this yoga training?
(example) 7:30am - 8:00am - Meditation 8:00am - 8:30am - Mantra 8:30am - 9:00am - Community time before class, fellowship and service 9:00am - 10:35am - Asana and Pranayama, public class 10:35am - 11:00am - Service and fellowship 11 - 12:30pm - Break for lunch and studying 12:30pm - 1:30pm - Rest and Digest Session, Philosophy 1:30pm - 2:30pm - Presentation from lead teacher on the modules of the training 2:30pm - 3:30pm - Practice teaching where you get to be the teacher in a small group 3:30pm - 4:00pm - Restorative yoga practice and/or training 4:00-4:05pm - Closing circle and Essential Integration Do you have to want to teach or learn to teach? Your desire to teach can be minimal to attend the course. You will learn to teach and through that experience you'll study the science of yoga learning to apply it towards yourself. |
